Chief Executive Officer
Ziwei Huang, Ph.D., brings more than 35 years of experience in structure-based small-molecule drug discovery. His research and development expertise spans therapeutics for neurodegenerative disorders, oncology, immune-related diseases, and viral infections. Throughout his career, Dr. Huang has held tenure-track faculty appointments in pharmaceutical sciences at several leading universities in the United States and internationally.
Dr. Huang has authored more than 120 peer-reviewed scientific publications, review articles, and book chapters, and is a co-inventor on numerous patents covering novel drug technologies and therapeutic products. He earned his Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of California, San Diego in 1993 and subsequently completed advanced research training in the laboratory of Nobel Laureate Stanley Prusiner at the University of California, San Francisco.
For more than three decades, Dr. Huang’s laboratory has focused on therapeutic discovery targeting CXCR4 and other clinically important proteins, including CD4, Bcl-2, and viral protease. His research team has generated many novel experimental therapeutics, including drug candidates successfully advanced into human clinical trials.
Chief Scientific Advisors
Professor Arieh Warshel is the Chief Scientific Advisor of Nobel Medical and the recipient of the 2013 Nobel Prize in Chemistryfor his groundbreaking contributions to computational chemistry.
Dr. Warshel earned his B.Sc. in Chemistry from the Technion and his M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Chemical Physics from the Weizmann Institute of Science. He has been a faculty member at the University of Southern California since 1976, where he holds the Dana and David Dornsife Chair in Chemistry.
He is best known for co-developing QM/MM computational methods, which combine quantum mechanics and molecular mechanics to model complex biochemical reactions at the atomic level. His pioneering work has had a major impact on computational chemistry, molecular biology, enzyme research, and drug discovery.
Dr. Warshel is a member of several leading scientific academies and has authored more than 500 peer-reviewed publications.
Professor Aaron Ciechanover is the Chief Scientific Advisor of Nobel Medical and the recipient of the 2004 Nobel Prize in Chemistry for his groundbreaking discovery of ubiquitin-mediated protein degradation.
Dr. Ciechanover earned his M.Sc. and M.D. from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and his D.Sc. in Biological Sciences from the Technion. Working with Avram Hershko and Irwin Rose, he helped uncover how ubiquitin marks proteins for degradation—a fundamental cellular process with important implications for cancer, neurodegenerative diseases, and drug development.
Dr. Ciechanover has received numerous prestigious honors, including the Albert Lasker Award, Israel Prize, and EMET Prize. He is a member or foreign member of several leading scientific academies worldwide and has made significant contributions to modern molecular and biomedical research.
Chief Medical Advisor
Professor Evan Y. Snyder is the Chief Medical Advisor of Nobel Medical and a pioneering leader in stem cell and regenerative medicine.
Dr. Snyder earned his M.D. and Ph.D. in Neuroscience from the University of Pennsylvania and completed his clinical and research training at Harvard Medical School and Boston Children’s Hospital. He later served as Professor and Director of the Program in Stem Cell and Regenerative Biology at Sanford Burnham Prebys, where he founded its Stem Cell Research Center and helped establish the Southern California Stem Cell Consortium.
Widely recognized as a pioneer in the stem cell field, Dr. Snyder has made groundbreaking contributions to neural stem cells and their therapeutic applications. His research has advanced understanding of stem cell biology, tissue regeneration, gene delivery, and the development of cell-based therapies for a wide range of diseases.
He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and has dedicated his career to translating fundamental stem cell discoveries into potential clinical applications.
